Our children's village
The Children’s village is located in Ukunda, about 30 km south of Mombasa near the popular vacation area of Diani Beach. We want to give the children and young people there a permanent and loving home, provide them with a school education and prepare them for an independent life. At UPENDO Children’s Village there are currently about 49 needy children and teenagers, aged 2 – 18 years. Together with the staff they form a village community.

How to get there: You will find the orphan village if you come from Diani Beach Road, turn left on the corner “Corner Beach” (on the corner is the Rongai Club and diagonally opposite on the right the Gate Mall with Naivas) (direction Mswambeni) and follow the road for about 5 km. After a while you will pass a branch of the Kenyan Red Cross “Red Cross Kenya” on the right hand side. Now it is not far and on the right side there is a small turnoff with a sign “Upendo Childrens Village”, after again about 500 m on the sandy road past a transformer station and a small local kiosk, you will find the gate to the Children’s village on the right hand side.
