New fountain

Of Kenya’s 54 million inhabitants, 15 million have no access to clean water and 37 million have no access to hygienic toilets. Increasing water demand and water scarcity have become a challenge in Kenya. Climate change, population growth, urbanisation and water pollution have exacerbated the water crisis, which affects the economy, food security, education and health.

In 2015, world leaders agreed on 17 global goals – the Sustainable Development Goals – to create a greener, fairer and better world by 2030.

With our water fountain in the village, we are addressing point 6 of the global goals: ensuring access to clean water.
