Our journey to the orphan village

The Corona pandemic delayed it – but now it has become possible for a delegation from our association to make its way to the Upendo orphan village. Yesterday, we finally went to the orphanage for the first day, where everyone was immediately warmly welcomed. The children were very much looking forward to our visit after such a long time. We were also curious to see what has happened in the orphanage in the last one and a half years. Many of the children have grown up in the meantime and take good care of the younger ones. After a brief discussion of the situation, we got right down to business. The topics are varied: management, IT, building, maintenance. The children have been on holiday since yesterday and after a short “warm-up” they all lent a hand.
