Update on our journey 5: One week and time flies by

The time flew by! Now a week in Kenya is already over and it’s departure day for Maike and Maja. However, they still had a lot planned for the last morning in the orphan village: “Besides supervising the construction, we naturally wanted to spend a little time with the children on the last day and so we could once again count on the support of numerous sketches of furniture during the joint planning session. Along the way, the building contract was quickly concluded on the offer negotiated the day before. Meanwhile, Norman gave the management intensive IT and computer training so that in future Excel and IT filing structure can replace the notepads fluttering around.” With many new impressions, the feeling of having achieved something and, at the same time, an ever-lengthening to-do list for the following period, we then headed back to Germany. The taxi driver was also impressed by our drive and the pace of the last few days on site and summed it up quite aptly on the way to the airport with “The Germans don’t have time for bla bla”.
